Home-made DIY Body Scrubs

Every bride desires flawless, glowing and radiant skin on her wedding day. While we take care of our face, we often tend to forget our body. Try a home-made body scrub, it’s inexpensive, relaxing, no added chemicals and gives you the soft, smooth and glowing skin. These super beauty ingredients are  easily found in your very own kitchen. Here are 5 homemade bridal body scrubs for the soon-to-be-bride to rock the wedding with glowing skin.

1.Coffee and Sugar Body scrub

What you need?

  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • ¼ cup of ground coffee
  • 3-4 Vitamin E capsules
  • 2 tbsp. of Extra virgin olive oil

What to do?

  1. Mix all the ingredients to make a coarse paste.
  2. Cleanse your skin and apply the paste onto it
  3. Gently massage the mixture using your fingers, in circular motions, on your skin.
  4. Gently massage and exfoliate your body for 5-10 minutes, spending at least 1-2 minutes on each part.
  5. Wash the mixture off your body using a hydrating body wash and lukewarm water.
  6. Use this body scrub about 2-3 times a week for a soft, smooth and glowing skin.

What it does?

The sugar works as an exfoliator that helps get rid of dead skin. Coffee is rich in antioxidants which help fight cellulite and the olive oil in penetrates deep into your skin, moisturizing and keeping it healthy and glowing.

2.Coconut oil body scrub

What you need?

  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • ½ cup of coconut oil
  • 3-5 drops of any essential oil of your choice

What to do?

  1. Mix the ingredients to get a coarse paste.
  2. Cleanse your skin and apply the paste onto it.
  3. Using your fingers, gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your skin.
  4. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending at least 1-2 minutes on each part.
  5. Wash the mixture off using a hydrating body wash and lukewarm water.
  6. Follow it at least 2-3 times a week for glowing and radiant skin.

3. Oatmeal body scrub

What you need?

  • ½ cup of uncooked oatmeal
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of honey (raw)
  • 4-5 drops of lavender essential oil
  • ¼ cup of Jojoba oil

What to do?

  1. Grind the dry ingredients until you get a fine powder
  2. Mix the liquid ingredients to get a coarse paste.
  3. Cleanse your skin and apply this paste onto it.
  4. Gently massage the mixture using your fingers, in circular motions, on your skin.
  5. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending at least 1-2 minutes on each part.
  6. Wash the mixture off using a hydrating body wash and lukewarm water.
  7. Use it twice a week for best results.

3. Sea salt body scrub

What you need?

  • 1 cup of sea salt
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • 5-10 drops of any essential oil of your choice

What to do?

  1. Mix all the ingredients to get a coarse paste.
  2. Cleanse your skin, apply this paste onto it and gently massage the mixture, in circular motions, on your skin.
  3. Take 5-10 minutes to gently massage and exfoliate your body, spending 1-2 minutes on each part.
  4. Wash the mixture off your body using a hydrating body wash and lukewarm water.
  5. Use it once a week for dry skin, twice a week for normal skin, and thrice a week for oily skin.
